A senior US official told Reuters that Israel and Hezbollah have reached a ceasefire agreement effective Friday at 16:00 local time.
elchi reports that the official added, “Hezbollah and Israel have reached a ceasefire agreement,” and noted that US and Qatari negotiators, with the help of Iran, reached the deal.
Israeli media: Israeli officials stated that the new ceasefire with Hezbollah has come into effect, but the Israeli army will not withdraw from the occupied territories in southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah sources stated, “We began implementing the ceasefire after it was announced.”
Lebanese media: Despite the ceasefire, the occupying Israeli army carried out consecutive airstrikes on Nabatieh and other cities in southern Lebanon, resulting in deaths and injuries.
