Zero scores were most frequently recorded in mathematics, geography, and chemistry.
“Elchi” reports that this was included in the scientific-statistical materials on student admission and graduation exam results for general education institutions for the 2025/2026 academic year, published in the 12th issue of the State Examination Center’s “Abituriyent” magazine.
The report notes that the low results in these subjects and the high number of zero scores are the result of negligence in the teaching of these subjects in some schools, as well as in the preparation process for higher education institutions. It was stated that the real causes of the situation should be investigated and appropriate measures should be taken to improve the quality of teaching these subjects.
The report also emphasized that the majority of those who scored zero in the exam subjects in the second stage are applicants from the Azerbaijani section.
Compared to the Russian section, the number of applicants who scored zero in the Azerbaijani section was higher in chemistry, informatics, and physics for the first specialty group; mathematics and geography for the second group; language of instruction, literature, and geography for the third group; and chemistry and biology for the fourth group.
