A unified approach to dress code requirements for teachers will be implemented.
“Elchi” reports that this is reflected in the proposed amendment to the Law “On General Education,” which was discussed at today’s session of the Milli Majlis.
According to the draft, “Requirements for the attire of educators in state general education institutions will be determined by the body (institution) designated by the relevant executive authority.”
Among the duties of parents or other legal representatives in the field of general education, ensuring that their children (persons under their guardianship or care) comply with the dress code requirements in state general education institutions is also included.
Currently, school uniforms are applied for students in state general education institutions. In this regard, according to the new Article 24.2.2-1 proposed to the Law “On General Education,” it is suggested that compliance with the aforementioned requirements regarding students’ uniforms be imposed as a duty on parents or other legal representatives.
Requirements regarding attire must be observed by students and educators in state general education institutions.
