On June 18, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Tobias Lorentzson, in connection with the completion of his diplomatic mission in our country.
According to the information provided to elchi by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the parties discussed issues of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Sweden in the fields of political dialogue, economy, trade, humanitarian affairs, and education during the meeting.
The parties emphasized the importance of developing bilateral relations and continuing mutual visits and contacts.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted with satisfaction the development of existing relations between the two countries and thanked the ambassador for his efforts in this direction. He highly appreciated the contributions made by Ambassador Tobias Lorentzson to the development of Azerbaijan-Sweden relations during his tenure and wished him success in his future endeavors.
During the meeting, an exchange of views also took place regarding the regional situation, the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process, post-conflict reconstruction and restoration work in the region, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
Ambassador Tobias Lorentzson expressed his gratitude for the support provided during his tenure in our country.
