The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have announced that a commander of a Hamas sniper unit and another militant have been killed in the central part of the Gaza Strip.

According to the Israeli side, the individuals killed participated in the attack on Israeli territory on October 7, 2023.
“The Israel Defense Forces, through a precise strike in the central Gaza Strip, killed a commander of the Hamas military wing’s sniper unit and another Hamas terrorist. They posed a direct threat to Israeli army troops operating in the Gaza Strip,” the statement said.
The names of the deceased were not disclosed.
