A bilateral meeting was held at the Media Development Agency (MEDIA) with the Director General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) News Agencies Union.

During the meeting, the Executive Director of the Agency, Ahmad Ismayilov, emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between media organizations against the backdrop of rapidly changing challenges in the global information space.
He stated that organizing the exchange of experience in the fight against the spread of fake and unreliable information, promoting media and digital literacy, as well as expanding coordinated activities against disinformation, misinformation, and hate speech are of particular importance.
Mohammed Al-Yami, Director General of the OIC News Agencies Union, drew attention to the importance of the responsible and transparent use of innovative technologies, especially artificial intelligence tools, in the media field during the era of digital transformation.
He noted that the application of new technologies in the preparation, verification, and management of content must be carried out in accordance with professional journalistic principles and ethical standards.
During the meeting, an exchange of views took place regarding increasing media literacy, promoting information security, applying innovative solutions in the media field, and future cooperation prospects.
