The Turkish frigate “TCG Oruçreis” is making a port visit to the Norfolk Naval Base between June 14-21 to participate in the “FLEETEX-250/2026” exercise, which will be conducted as part of the events marking the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States.
“Elchi” reports that the Turkish Ministry of National Defense shared this information on its “X” social media account.
“The TCG Oruçreis frigate was welcomed on June 14, 2026, by Naval Fleet Commander Rear Admiral Mehmet Baybars Küçükatay, Norfolk Turkish Senior Officer Major General Hayrettin Koca, and Washington Naval Attaché Haluk Orhon,” the statement said.
