A Permanent Settlement Fund will be established in the liberated territories.
“Elchi” reports that this is reflected in the proposed amendment to the Housing Code, which was discussed at today’s meeting of the Milli Majlis.
According to the draft, the residential premises of the Permanent Settlement Fund in the liberated territories will be among the types of residential premises of the special-purpose housing stock. The residential premises of the Permanent Settlement Fund in the liberated territories are intended for the relocation of internally displaced persons to permanent residences in the liberated territories and for the transfer of those residential premises to their ownership.
The procedure for relocating internally displaced persons to the residential premises of the Permanent Settlement Fund in the liberated territories and transferring those residential premises to their ownership will be determined by the body (institution) defined by the relevant executive authority.
It was noted that as a result of the amendment to the Housing Code, a new institution – the “Permanent Settlement Fund in the Liberated Territories” – will be created, and the residential premises included in this fund will be used for the purpose of relocating internally displaced persons and transferring these premises to their ownership.
The draft law was put to a vote and adopted in the first reading.
