A high-ranking Iranian official has rejected US President Donald Trump’s claim that Iranian officials contacted him to request a ceasefire, calling it “completely false”.
“Elchi” reports that an unnamed high-ranking official, speaking to Iranian state television, responded to President Trump’s claim that “Iranian officials contacted him directly to ask for the bombings to stop.”
The Iranian official stated, “Trump’s claim that Iranian officials spoke to him directly and requested a ceasefire is completely false. No contact has been made with Trump, and Iran is responding to aggressions through military means.”
