First consular consultations held between Azerbaijan and Austria

The first consular consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs of Austria were held in Baku.

“Elchi” reports that the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry released information regarding this.

The Azerbaijani delegation at the consultations was led by the Head of the Consular Department, Emil Safarov, and the Austrian delegation was led by the Deputy Director General for Consular Affairs, Rene Amri.

During the consular consultations, the current state and development prospects of cooperation in the consular field with the Republic of Austria were reviewed, as well as opportunities for signing new bilateral documents in the field and the digitalization of consular services, and detailed discussions were held on a number of draft documents under consideration.

An exchange of information took place regarding the latest innovations implemented in the consular field, and an exchange of views was held on proposals for strengthening relations between Azerbaijan and Austria in areas such as legal assistance, education, migration, labor, and others.

It should be noted that the first consular consultations between Azerbaijan and Spain were held on June 6, and with Syria on June 8.
