Employees of the Sabunchu District Police Department have conducted operations against the illegal drug trade.
According to information provided to elchi by the MIA press service, during the measures, 15 kilograms of marijuana, heroin, and methamphetamine were discovered from 36-year-old Saddam Mammadov, who was suspected of acting as a drug courier in the capital, 11 kilograms from 39-year-old Elchin Hajiyev and his acquaintance 26-year-old Aykhan Abbasguliyev, and nearly 20 kilograms from 25-year-old Hafiz Taghiyev. As a result of the operations, a total of more than 46 kilograms of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances were removed from circulation.
In their statements, the detained individuals indicated that they planned to deliver the drugs to various addresses in the capital area to organize their distribution.
Criminal cases have been initiated regarding the facts. A preventive measure of arrest has been chosen by the court for each of the detained persons.
