Ukraine and Estonia have signed a joint declaration on strengthening cooperation in the field of security and defense.
elchi reports that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on social media following his meeting with Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal.
“Today, our countries have also taken an important step forward: a joint declaration on strengthening cooperation in the field of security and defense has been signed. The document establishes areas of interaction such as the exchange of experience, cooperation in the defense industry, and air defense. We are also continuing work on an agreement in the ‘Drone Deal’ format,” he wrote.
Zelenskyy thanked Estonia for its support and noted Tallinn’s contribution to the PURL program. He also informed the Estonian side about Ukraine’s current needs.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed further strengthening sanctions pressure on Russia, as well as the prospects for Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.
