Organized by the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, fire-tactical exercises on the topic of “Extinguishing fires and organizing the evacuation of people” were held at the “MIDA” residential complex located on Bulvar Street, Sumgayit city.

It was stated that the main purpose of the exercise was to further improve the interaction of fire-rescue forces involved in the area during fires in multi-story residential buildings, to strengthen the professional skills of personnel in extinguishing fires and rescue operations in such facilities, as well as to increase the knowledge of relevant personnel regarding initial behavioral rules during fires.
During the exercise, the fire protection units of the MES State Fire Protection Service, which arrived promptly at the scene of a simulated fire in one of the buildings located in the complex, carried out the evacuation of residents from the “danger zone”, conducted agile reconnaissance at the “fire” site, and performed the “fire extinguishing” operation.
In total, 8 pieces of equipment and 40 personnel from the State Fire Protection Service, State Fire Control Service, and the Sumgayit Regional Center were involved in the exercise.
The exercise ended successfully, and the set goals were achieved.
