Strong solar flares expected

On June 8-9, solar flares belonging to the second-highest power class may occur.

According to the news from elchi, this information was provided by the Russian Institute of Applied Geophysics.

“On June 8 and 9, solar flare activity is generally low, with M-class flares expected,” the report stated.

It should be noted that solar flares are divided into five classes based on the power of X-ray radiation: A, B, C, M, and X. The minimum A0.0 class corresponds to a radiation power of 10 nW per square meter in Earth’s orbit. As the stage increases, the power increases by 10 times. Flares are usually accompanied by emissions of solar plasma, the clouds of which can reach Earth and cause magnetic storms.
