Israel strikes petrochemical plant in Iran

It is reported that Israel has struck a petrochemical plant in the city of Mahshahr, located in the Khuzestan province of southwestern Iran.
“Elchi” reports that, according to the Mehr News Agency, Valiollah Hayati, the deputy governor of Khuzestan, provided information regarding the attack.
Hayati stated: “Recently, the Karun Petrochemical Company in Mahshahr was subjected to an air attack by the Zionist enemy. As a result of the projectiles hitting the plant, some parts of this industrial facility were damaged.”
Hayati noted that, according to preliminary information, there were no casualties or injuries in the attack, and that detailed information regarding the extent of the damage and possible losses would be announced later.
In a statement, the Israeli army announced that “several targets” at the petrochemical plant in Mahshahr had been hit. On the other hand, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that they had launched “Operation Nasr” in response to Israel’s attacks on Iran and had targeted the Nevatim and Tel Nof airbases. The Revolutionary Guard’s statement also mentioned that strategic points to be targeted in Israel had been identified and the target bank had been expanded.
