Trump strongly protested the ban on naming the theater after him

US President Donald Trump has reacted sharply to a court ruling that declared the naming of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington in his honor illegal.

elchi reports that Trump shared this on the “Truth Social” social network.

The US leader stated that the administration intended to renovate the cultural center and turn it into the best theater complex in the world. However, according to him, a “judge appointed by Barack Obama” deemed the name change illegal.

In response, Trump announced that he had ordered the management of the facility to be transferred to the US Congress.

“I have instructed the Department of Commerce to take all necessary measures in cooperation with Congress to fully and comprehensively transfer this facility to the jurisdiction of Congress. Thus, the responsibility for its operation, maintenance, and management will fall on Congress,” Trump wrote.

It should be noted that earlier, a federal court had ruled that the renaming of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts to include Donald Trump’s name was illegal.

Recall that the US President also recently attended the opening ceremony of a boulevard named in his honor in the state of Florida.
