UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed has become acquainted with the activities of the “ASAN service” center.

“Elchi” reports that Ulvi Mehdiyev, Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, provided the guest with detailed information about the various activities of the state agency, including the “ASAN service” centers created on the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev and projects implemented in the field of social innovation.

It was also emphasized that the state agency was awarded the UN Public Service Award in 2015, a special UN award for the development of public services through the application of digital governance in 2019, and was selected as the “World’s Most Advanced Public Service” within the framework of the “Global Government Excellence Award” Program in 2023, and that the “ASAN service” model is being successfully applied in various countries.

The importance of the Contribution Agreement signed between the Government of Azerbaijan and the UN was also highlighted. Within the framework of the agreement, it is envisaged to apply innovations and develop capacity in the relevant field for the provision of public services based on the “ASAN service” model in UN member countries, and thus the UN evaluates the “ASAN service” concept, which has become Azerbaijan’s brand in the international arena, as the best model and promotes it to member states.
