The current state of economic relations between Azerbaijan and Oman and the prospects for the development of cooperation have been discussed.
“Elchi” reports with reference to the Ministry of Economy that Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov held a meeting with Khalfan Al-Shuaili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning of the Sultanate of Oman, within the framework of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).
At the meeting, the current state of economic relations between Azerbaijan and Oman and the prospects for the development of cooperation were discussed. The parties noted that the friendly relations between the two countries create a favorable basis for expanding cooperation in the economic sphere.
During the discussions, an exchange of views took place regarding the diversification of business ties, the promotion of mutual investments, the increase of trade turnover, and opportunities for cooperation in the infrastructure sector. The importance of exchanging experience in the fields of urban planning, construction, and sustainable urbanization was also emphasized.
Within the framework of the meeting, issues of participation in potential investment projects, expanding ties between private sector representatives, and identifying new directions for cooperation were also in the spotlight.
