Seven-car trains will operate on the new stations to be built along the “purple line” of the Baku Metro.
elchi reports that the head of the press service of “Baku Metro” Closed Joint-Stock Company, Bakhtiyar Mammadov, stated this in an interview with Oxu.az.
He noted that the platforms of the new stations will be larger than those of the stations operating on the “red” and “green” lines:
“The length of the platforms of the stations currently in operation on the “red line” is 102-105 meters. Those stations are designed for 5-car trains. However, the length of the platforms of the stations being built and to be built along the “purple line” is 144 meters. The trains that will operate on that line will consist of seven cars.”
B. Mammadov stated that the stations to be built along the “green line” will also be designed for five-car trains.
It should be recalled that by 2030, 10 new stations will be built and put into operation along the “green” and “purple” lines of the Baku Metro.
