Modern fields such as artificial intelligence, green energy, and cybersecurity are being integrated into vocational education curricula in Azerbaijan.
elchi reports that this is reflected in the “Action Plan for Strengthening the Potential of the Vocational Education System in the Republic of Azerbaijan” approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to the document, educational programs will be redesigned in vocational education institutions that are to be built or undergo major repairs. The new programs will prioritize the inclusion of competencies in digital skills, artificial intelligence, green energy, and cybersecurity into the curricula.
Furthermore, the implementation of competency-based dual education programs will be expanded. Within the framework of the plan, the introduction of international dual diploma programs in the vocational education system is also envisaged for the years 2029–2030.
