New passage between “28 May” and “Jafar Jabbarli” stations to open on this date

As we have previously reported, the construction of a new staircase between Baku’s “28 May” and “Jafar Jabbarli” metro stations has begun.

Bakhtiyar Mammadov, Head of the Public Relations Department of Baku Metro CJSC, stated in an interview with “Elchi” that, within the framework of the line separation project, the construction of another staircase between the “28 May” and “Jafar Jabbarli” stations is proceeding rapidly.

“Currently, measures following the completion of excavation work are being implemented. Concrete work is being carried out by installing metal structures along the tunnel wall.

At the same time, the installation of pedestrian stairs has begun. In the final stage, the installation of wall and floor coverings will ensure both the stability and aesthetic appearance of the area at the highest level. These works are planned to be completed and put into operation by the end of July.

In general, after the lines are separated, this staircase will be of special importance. This is because it will prevent the mixing of passenger flows, facilitate the smooth direction of passengers, and create appropriate conditions for using this passage for every track of the “Jafar Jabbarli” station,” he noted.
