On May 12, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to Azerbaijan, Fergus Auld, in connection with the completion of his diplomatic mission in our country.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted with satisfaction the development of existing relations between the two countries and thanked the ambassador for his efforts in this direction.
During the meeting, the current state and future development prospects of cooperation across various areas of the existing partnership between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom were discussed in detail. Political dialogue, economy, energy security, green energy, trade, investments, education, humanitarian spheres, and regional security issues were among the main topics discussed.
During the meeting, the parties stated that the existing dialogue, mutual visits, and contacts between the two countries, including political consultations, have made a significant contribution to the development of relations.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the regional situation, the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process, restoration and reconstruction work carried out in the region in the post-conflict period, as well as other bilateral and multilateral issues of mutual interest.
Ambassador Fergus Auld expressed his gratitude for the support provided during his tenure in Azerbaijan. Minister Jeyhun Bayramov wished the ambassador success in his future endeavors.
