In accordance with the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated April 24, 2026, one-time financial aid has been paid to participants of the 1941–1945 World War II and other persons provided for in the Decree.
This was reported to elchi by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.
In accordance with the Decree, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population has paid a one-time financial aid of 2,750 manats to each participant of the World War II in connection with the 81st anniversary of the Victory over German fascism in World War II.
A one-time financial aid of 1,500 manats has been paid to each of the following: widows of soldiers who died or subsequently passed away in World War II; persons awarded orders and medals for selfless labor in the rear during that period; employees of special units who performed tasks for the benefit of the army and navy within the rear boundaries of combat fronts or operational zones of fighting fleets during World War II; persons awarded the relevant medal and badge for the defense of Leningrad during World War II, as well as participants of the siege of Leningrad.
The Decree covered a total of nearly 2,000 people, including 13 World War II participants, and the one-time financial aid has been transferred to their bank accounts.
