Explosion sounds heard on Qeshm Island and Bandar Abbas port

Several explosion sounds have been heard in the area of Qeshm Island and Bandar Abbas port.

“Elchi” reports that the “Tasnim” agency has provided information regarding this.

“Local sources report that explosion sounds have been heard on Qeshm Island and in the port of Bandar Abbas,” the report stated.

The exact cause of the explosion sounds is not yet known:

“Some sources claim that some of these sounds are related to operations carried out by the Naval Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to warn some ships regarding illegal passage through the Strait of Hormuz.

However, investigations are ongoing to obtain accurate and complete information about the causes of the sounds.”

It should be recalled that the US and Israel launched military operations against Iran on February 28. Following this, Iran launched strikes on military bases of the US and its allies, as well as Israel.

Iran, the US, and their allies agreed on a two-week ceasefire on the night of April 8, 2026. On April 11-12, negotiations were held between Iran and the US in Islamabad with the mediation of Pakistan. The hours-long talks ended without results due to differences in the parties’ positions.

The situation around the Strait of Hormuz, the blockage of which has caused an energy crisis in the world, remains uncertain; both sides announce at various intervals that the waterway is open, but in fact, shipping in the region has been halted.
