Russian President Vladimir Putin has dismissed Sergey Melikov from the post of Head of the Republic of Dagestan.
elchi reports, citing foreign media, that Putin has signed the relevant decree.
The document has been published on the Russian legal acts portal.
“To accept the resignation of the Head of the Republic of Dagestan, Melikov S.A., at his own request,” the decree states.
Fedor Shukin has been appointed as the acting head of the vacant post in Dagestan. Previously, he served as the chairman of the Supreme Court of Dagestan.
