Trump asked Netanyahu to limit his actions in Lebanon

Trump asked Netanyahu to limit himself to targeted operations in Lebanon.
“Elchi” reports that US President Donald Trump asked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to refrain from resuming full-scale military operations and to conduct only targeted operations in Lebanon. The American leader stated this himself in an interview with Axios.
“I told Netanyahu that he should be more surgical. He shouldn’t be destroying buildings. He can’t do that. It’s very terrible and makes Israel look bad,” the head of state said.
On April 14, the first round of direct talks between Israel and Lebanon took place. Later, the parties agreed on a 10-day ceasefire. The ceasefire was announced on April 17.
On April 22, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) accused the Shiite movement Hezbollah of violating the ceasefire in Lebanon. The Jewish state announced that it had intercepted an aircraft attempting to enter Israeli airspace. On April 25, Netanyahu’s office announced that the Prime Minister had ordered the IDF to launch powerful strikes on Hezbollah targets. The next day, Israeli forces warned residents of several cities in southern Lebanon to evacuate due to imminent strikes.
On April 27, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Russia intends to do everything possible to achieve peace in the Middle East as soon as possible.
