Within the framework of a criminal case regarding the giving and receiving of pre-election bribes on behalf of the “Strong Armenia” party, led by Russian businessman Samvel Karapetyan, a preventive measure of detention has been chosen for three of the five people detained on April 29 in Armenia.

The Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia detained five people acting on behalf of the “Strong Armenia” party on April 29, suspecting them of covertly giving bribes.
On April 16, 14 members of “Strong Armenia” were detained in Armenia as part of a criminal case related to pre-election bribery. Later, 12 supporters of the “Strong Armenia” party were released to house arrest.
