UAE will strengthen cooperation with partners even after leaving OPEC

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) will continue to cooperate closely with its partners and contribute to global market stability.

elchi reports that this was stated by Afra Al Hameli, Director of the Strategic Communications Department at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The UAE will continue to work closely with its partners, deepen bilateral and multilateral cooperation, and contribute to stable, well-functioning markets with greater flexibility and responsiveness,” she added.

Previously, the UAE’s state news agency “WAM” reported that the UAE would withdraw from OPEC and OPEC+ organizations effective May 1, 2026.
