On April 27, Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, met with Tomasz Miśkiewicz, Chairman of the Supreme Muslim Religious College of the Muslim Religious Union in Poland.

It was stated that during the meeting, the current state and development prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Poland in the religious sphere, as well as the importance of mutual visits, were discussed.
R. Mammadov spoke about the reforms carried out in the field of religious education in Azerbaijan, the work done to strengthen the training of qualified personnel, and the projects implemented in the field of religious enlightenment. Emphasizing the importance of preserving religious and cultural diversity as the spiritual wealth of society, he noted that passing these values on to future generations in a healthy and sustainable way is one of the priority directions of state policy. He highlighted that the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology and the Baku Theological College, operating under the Committee, play an important role in training qualified personnel in the field of religious education.
T. Miśkiewicz noted Azerbaijan’s growing role in the region and its active participation in initiatives aimed at ensuring peace and stability. In addition, highlighting Azerbaijan’s position in promoting interreligious dialogue, he drew attention to the positive results of its contributions to strengthening mutual understanding and cooperation among various religious communities.
