Requirements for holding “Last Bell” ceremonies in Azerbaijan have been determined.
This was reported to “Elchi” by the State Agency for Preschool and General Education.
It was stated that relevant discussions are being held with students, teachers, and parents regarding issues arising from the instructions regulating the rules for conducting the “Last Bell” ceremony.
According to the instructions, the director of the general education institution manages the organization of the “Last Bell” ceremony and bears responsibility for any negative incidents occurring during or after the event at the institution.
The event should be organized in the courtyard of the general education institution, or in the sports or assembly hall for institutions without a courtyard.
Furthermore, the instructions note the following:
– The “Last Bell” should be held without disrupting the educational process, and safe conditions must be ensured;
– The “Last Bell” ceremony must begin at 08:00, 09:00, or 10:00 on June 13, 2026, and must conclude within a maximum of 2 hours.
The participation of the following individuals is considered possible at the “Last Bell” ceremony:
– Parents (guardians/custodians) of 1st and 11th-grade students;
– Representatives of educational management bodies (MES, SPGE, BEO, REO);
– Police representatives designated to maintain public order, representatives of local executive authorities, members of martyr families and veterans, and parents who play a special role in the school’s social life.
In addition, requirements for student attire, discipline, and ethical behavior have been established:
– Students must wear school uniforms at the event;
– The appearance of graduates must be neat and in accordance with the institution’s disciplinary rules;
– The playing of vulgar music should not be permitted.
The event must have a script prepared in accordance with national and moral values, consisting of official and artistic parts, and the script must be approved by the head of the institution with a signature and seal.
The opening of the event must begin with the National Anthem, followed by a minute of silence to honor the memory of martyrs.
Furthermore, the instructions mention internal organizational measures and additional requirements:
No special preparations should be made for representatives of organizations and agencies at the event, and only drinking water should be on the table. Presenting gifts and bouquets to these individuals is prohibited;
– The artistic part of the event must be organized solely based on the school’s internal resources;
It was stated that a pedagogical council meeting should be held regarding the mentioned requirements, relevant decisions should be made, and instructions should be prepared and posted in visible areas of the school to inform parents. Parents should be educated about the event beforehand.
Recall that this year the “Last Bell” will be held on June 13.
