Passenger congestion has been observed in the Baku Metro since the morning hours. Currently, there is congestion on platforms and in passageways at several metro stations.
According to information provided to elchi by “Baku Metropolitan” CJSC, the congestion is due to the 2.5-minute interval between trains and the fact that train operations are organized according to the Saturday schedule today:
“On April 22, during peak passenger flow hours, the interval between trains on the ’28 May-Ahmedli’ section will be 2.5 minutes. Passengers traveling in the ‘Bakmil’ direction are requested to use the Saturday schedule.”
It should be noted that yesterday at 12:10, a technical malfunction occurred due to a short circuit in the intermediate cable on the ‘Ulduz–Narimanov’ section of the metro, and access to all stations was restricted. Access to the stations was restored at 15:00.
