According to information received from US President Donald Trump and diplomatic sources, the end date of the two-week ceasefire announced on April 7 has been clarified.
“Elchi” reports that, according to information provided by the Reuters agency citing a Pakistani source involved in the negotiations, the ceasefire will officially end on Wednesday, April 22, at 8:00 PM US Eastern Time (03:00 Thursday, Turkey time).
This corresponds to 03:30 on Thursday morning in Iran.
Trump: “The probability of an extension is low”
In his latest statement to Bloomberg News, President Trump stated that he expects the ceasefire to end on Wednesday, Washington time.
Stating that he will not extend the ceasefire unless a new agreement is reached between the parties, Trump called the possibility of an extension “extremely low.”
How did the process develop?
The ceasefire announced on Tuesday, April 7, was initially expected to end on Tuesday, April 21. However, it appears that an option has been given until Wednesday night. There are concerns that if a diplomatic compromise is not found by 8:00 PM US time on Wednesday, military activity in the region will increase again.\
