Hakan Çalhanoğlu, a member of the Turkish national team playing for the Italian Serie A club Inter, has made a decision regarding his future.
elchi reports, citing the newspaper “La Gazzetta Dello Sport”, that the experienced footballer wants to stay with the Italian representative for another year.
The team’s head coach, Cristian Chivu, also wants to see the experienced midfielder in the squad next season. Although Chivu has a plan to focus on young players in his new structure, it is reported that Çalhanoğlu could be an exception in this structure.
The information notes that there is a possibility of extending the contract between the parties, but if an agreement is not reached, they will continue with the current contract. In this case, Çalhanoğlu is expected to leave the team in the summer of 2027.
It should be noted that Çalhanoğlu has been playing for the Italian giant since 2021.
