Cigarette production in Azerbaijan has increased by more than 23%

In January-March of this year, 3 billion 816 million cigarettes were produced in Azerbaijan.

“Elchi” reports, citing the State Statistical Committee, that this figure is 23.3% higher compared to the same period last year.

 

As of April 1, the stock of finished products in the warehouses of industrial enterprises amounted to 1 billion 15 million units.

In addition, 503.3 tons of tobacco were produced in the first quarter, which is 7.4% more compared to January-March 2025.

It should be noted that in January-February of the current year, a total of 15.5 million cigarettes worth 323 thousand US dollars were imported into Azerbaijan. During the reporting period, 374.8 million cigarettes worth 6 million 4.58 thousand US dollars were exported from Azerbaijan.
