elchi reports that Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said this at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum while commenting on the situation that would arise if the US were to withdraw from NATO.
He stated that Turkey is holding discussions with its European partners in this regard.
“Therefore, urgent steps must be taken to prevent the deepening of crises and the emergence of new zones of tension. The European Union and NATO are important systems for us. We are discussing how we could manage it and how we could mitigate the consequences if the US were to withdraw from NATO,” the minister said.
