Eight people died as a result of a helicopter crash in Indonesia’s West Kalimantan province.
elchi reports that, according to the “Jakarta Globe” newspaper, the helicopter, carrying a pilot, a co-pilot, and six passengers, took off from the Melawi region of the province yesterday at 07:34 local time.
It is reported that the Airbus H130 model helicopter, which lost contact at 08:39 after takeoff, went missing.
Search and rescue teams found the helicopter in a hard-to-reach area in the Sekadau region of West Kalimantan province. Authorities stated that all eight people on board the helicopter died. No statement has been made yet regarding the cause of the crash.
