Zelensky: Ukraine and the Netherlands to begin joint weapons production

A meeting was held in the city of Middelburg between King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

“Elchi” reports that Zelensky shared this information on his Telegram channel.

“I thanked His Majesty for his personal support to Ukraine and the entire Ukrainian people during the more than four years of struggle against Russia’s full-scale war,” he said.

During the meeting, Zelensky also spoke about the recent massive attacks by Russia on Ukraine, which caused deaths in Odesa, Kyiv, and Dnipro, and left more than a hundred people injured in various regions of the country.

“It is important to continue supporting our country by all means, to prevent the loss of life, and to make every effort to achieve a just peace. We will always be grateful to the Netherlands and the entire Dutch people for their support and significant contribution to protecting human lives,” he noted.

During his visit to the Netherlands, the Ukrainian leader also met with the Kingdom’s Prime Minister Rob Jetten. The parties primarily discussed security issues.

“Ukraine has proposed a special security partnership agreement format to the Netherlands – our ‘Drone Deal’. This concerns the comprehensive development of all capabilities for sky protection: defense against missiles and drones, the development of EW (Electronic Warfare), and joint weapons production. We tasked the teams to work out all the details and signed the documents on the start of this work – both for the ‘Drone Deal’ and for the first joint production specifically with the Netherlands,” Zelensky said.
