The portal’s real-time counter is based on a briefing held by the Pentagon for the US Congress on March 10. It was stated in that briefing that Washington spent $11.3 billion during the first six days of fighting in the Middle East and plans to spend an additional $1 billion for each subsequent day of the conflict.
