The legendary former defender of the England national team and London’s “Chelsea” club is preparing to open a new chapter in his career – to buy “Colchester United”, a representative of League Two.
elchi reports, citing “The Sun” publication, that the parties have already entered the final stage and the deal, worth 14 million pounds sterling, is expected to be formalized in the near future.
Recall that the club in question was put up for sale back in September of last year. The current owner and president of the lower league team, Robbie Cowling, had announced his intention to pass the leadership baton to a new generation of officials.
It should be added that “Colchester United”, which is in John Terry’s sights, is currently in 13th place in the English League Two standings.
