During a joint raid conducted by the employees of the Lankaran-Astara regional branch of the Food Safety Agency (AQTA) and the Masalli District Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a total of 227 kg of meat unfit for consumption was discovered.

It was stated that during the inspection, it was determined that the product was horse meat with no accompanying documents and an unknown origin.

“It was revealed that the horse meat was illegally slaughtered by Bilasuvar village resident Azizov Malik Sabir oglu, and that Karimli Amrah Islam oglu planned to transport it to Baku in a Nissan vehicle with the state registration plate 10 XP 977. The unfit meat has been placed in storage. Samples were taken and sent for laboratory testing.
