South Korean Finance Minister Ku Yun-chol met with ambassadors from Gulf countries to strengthen energy security and the safety of Korean vessels near the Strait of Hormuz.
According to “Elchi”, citing Reuters, the ministry issued a statement regarding this.
During the meeting, Ku asked the ambassadors of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for the uninterrupted supply of oil, liquefied natural gas, urea, and other vital resources, as well as to ensure the safety of Korean vessels and their crews near this important strait.
The statement added that the ambassadors stated that South Korea is a “key priority” and promised to maintain close contact with Seoul to ensure stable supply.
