Ukraine Imposes Sanctions Against Lukashenko

Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky announced this on his Telegram channel.

“Elchi” reports that “Today, Ukraine has imposed a package of sanctions against Alexander Lukashenko, and we will significantly strengthen our efforts to combat his assistance of any kind in the murder of Ukrainians. We will work with our partners to ensure that this has a global impact,” Zelensky wrote.

The politician claims that in the second half of 2025, the Russian military deployed a repeater system in Belarus to control attack drones, which increased the ability of the Russian Armed Forces to strike the northern regions of Ukraine from Kyiv to Volyn. He added that some strikes, including those on energy facilities and railways in Ukrainian regions, would not have been possible without such assistance from Belarus. In addition, according to Zelensky, more than 3,000 Belarusian companies supply Russia with essential equipment, machinery and components, including the Oreshnik medium-range missile.
On February 16, Zelensky imposed sanctions against ten Russian athletes. On February 8, the politician imposed restrictions on a number of foreign companies and representatives of the Russian financial sector.
