Driver who did not give way to a pedestrian was detained.
Elchi.az was informed about this by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It was reported that, according to the requirements of the legislation, a driver turning right or left at an intersection must give way to pedestrians crossing the carriageway of the road he is turning onto, as well as cyclists crossing this carriageway on a bicycle path.
During the event, a driver who violated this requirement at an intersection and did not give way to a pedestrian was detained, a preventive conversation was held with him, and the requirements of the legislation were explained.
“Safe movement on the roads is the individual responsibility of each of us,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
