The court stated that Han acted with the intention of violating the constitutional order and decided that he knowingly aided the rebellion.

Former South Korean Prime Minister Han Dak-soo was accused of aiding the martial law declared by then-President Yun Suk-yeol. The investigation team led by Special Prosecutor Cho Eun-suk noted in the indictment that Han did not fulfill his responsibility, even though he was the number 2 government official responsible for suspending the martial law decision. A 15-year prison sentence was requested for Han, who was tried without being arrested and without a travel ban.
