The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan continues its activities in the direction of fulfilling its duties, including protecting the population and territories from natural and man-made emergencies.
Elchi.az reports with reference to the ministry’s website that during the past week, 213 fire calls, 27 cases of helplessness, 5 traffic accidents and 1 explosion were carried out. As a result of urgent and immediate measures, the fires were quickly extinguished and people’s lives were saved.
In general, during the past week, the forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations rescued 37 people, including 14 minors, evacuated 25 people, including 10 minors, 2 people were injured, 7 people were poisoned by smoke, and 8 people died during the incidents.
