Milk milked from cows will also be accounted for

The total amount of milk and eggs produced in agricultural farms in Azerbaijan will be recorded under a new rule.

elchi reports, citing oxu.az, that according to the new accounting rule, when calculating the total amount of milk milked on the farm during the previous year, not only the sold product, but also the milk used for personal consumption, exchanged in kind, given as shares, and fed to the young of animals will be taken into account.

Milk purchased by the farm from outside will not be included in the production indicator.

A similar rule will be applied to egg production. That is, all eggs will be counted regardless of whether they are sold, used for personal consumption, incubation, or other purposes.

If there is no accurate information on annual milk production, the indicator will be determined based on the number of dairy animals, the average daily milk yield per animal, and the duration of the actual milking period.

For example, if a farm keeps three dairy cows, and each yields an average of eight liters of milk per day, and the milking period lasts 300 days, the annual milk production will be recorded as 7,200 liters.

Egg production can also be calculated based on the number of laying birds and the average laying rate over different periods if the exact annual number is not known. Based on the example given in the rule, if five eggs are obtained per day on average from 10 laying hens, the annual production will be 1,825 units.

The above will be applied from January 1, 2027.
