The uniform dress code established for state schools covers only state general education institutions. Private schools, however, can establish their own relevant dress code rules in accordance with their charters.
elchi reports that Deputy Minister of Science and Education Firudin Gurbanov stated this in an interview with APA.
The Deputy Minister noted that the distinction between state and private schools in terms of dress code may not be unequivocally welcomed by parents.
“Ensuring the safety of students, protecting the right to education, and strengthening school discipline are equally important for all educational institutions. We believe that the consistent application of these principles in all schools can positively affect the organization of a healthier and more orderly educational environment,” Firudin Gurbanov emphasized.
