Workers to be given breaks in windy weather

Work with cranes in windy weather will be stopped and workers will be given breaks according to new regulations.

elchi reports that this is reflected in the proposed amendments to the Labor Code discussed at today’s Milli Majlis session.

Currently, all types of work with cranes on land are stopped when the wind speed is 6 points or more.
According to the project, when the wind speed is from 6 to 8 points, work with cranes operated on land will be allowed in cases provided for in the technical passports of those cranes.

When the wind speed is more than 8 points, all types of work with the mentioned cranes will be stopped in any case.

Taking this into account, all types of work with cranes operated on land will be stopped when the wind speed is 6 points or more.
After discussions, the issue was put to a vote and adopted in the third reading.
