Lavrov and Vadephul met on September 26 in New York within the framework of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly. This was the first negotiation between the Russian and German foreign ministers in the last four and a half years. The conversation took place at Berlin’s initiative and lasted 20 minutes. According to Lavrov, there were no new results from the meeting, as Wadephul simply reiterated the long-standing position of the German leadership.
