When asked by journalists whether US officials had met with representatives of mediator countries to discuss ending the conflict with Iran, Trump responded positively. Emphasizing that the US would soon gain the upper hand in the conflict with Iran, Trump said: “In my opinion, one way or another, we will win. It will happen very soon.”

Regarding his relations with Iran, Trump said: “I am dealing with them, and they are crazy. There is no doubt about that. They are very crazy people, and I tell them that all the time.”

US President also touched upon the ongoing trade dispute between the US and Canada. “Canada wants to reach an agreement with us. They are calling us all the time,” Trump stated. “I think within the next three to four weeks, they will come to us and say: ‘We will eliminate all customs duties.’ We will win on every issue. Now even the name of Lake Ontario is Lake America. They will come to us and say: ‘Sir, we apologize’.”
Trump also touched upon the five suspects who were arrested yesterday in the UK on charges of planning an attack on the Royal Air Force (RAF) Fairford base used by the US, and released on bail today; he expressed his surprise at the authorities’ decision. “I would not have released them,” Trump stated. “They were cooperating very closely with us. We know everything about them. We would not have let them go.”
US President avoided answering the question of whether Iran or other parties were behind the alleged attack plan, but claimed to have detailed information about the matter. “I know the answer; I could give very detailed information, but I choose not to. I would not have released them,” Trump said.
